THE IDEOLOGY OF THE YEARN FOR ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY (YES)

Centrist National Developmentism

YES is founded on the following principles:

1. Centrism– We reject both far-left and far-right extremism and promote practical solutions that unite Basotho.

2. Basotho First – The interests, welfare, prosperity, and future of Basotho must always come first.

3. National Self-Determination – Lesotho must determine its own future free from undue foreign political, economic, or ideological influence.

4. Democracy and Rule of Law – We uphold democracy, constitutionalism, human rights, and equal opportunity for all.

5. Zero Corruption – We advocate transparent, accountable, and ethical governance at all levels.

6. Economic Empowerment – We support entrepreneurship, investment, innovation, job creation, and sustainable economic growth.

7. Economic Equality and Social Responsibility – Every Mosotho must have a fair opportunity to participate in and benefit from national development.

8. National Unity – We promote peace, patriotism, and unity above division, tribalism, and partisan interests.

9. Self-Reliance and Sustainability – We believe Lesotho must build a productive economy capable of feeding, employing, and empowering its people.
